Calling All Used Cell Phones!

WHAT: Phones that can accept a sim card

WHERE: The Cornerstone  Community Kitchen

WHEN: 9 AM - 6 PM M-F, 10 AM - 1 PM Sa&Su

WHY: Having reliable access to a phone can make a huge difference in an individual's ability to access services, employment opportunities, and even basic safety.  In recognition of this need, there is a federal program that provides cellular services to low-income households at no charge, known as Lifeline.  Unfortunately, while this program has provided physical devices in the past, it now only provides a sim card and service plan.  Individuals are left to obtain their own physical phone to use with the program.  That's where you can help!

We are looking for used, no longer connected phones, in good working order, which we can use to help eligible individuals sign up for the Lifeline program.  Phones will be factory reset and offered on a "first-come" basis to those who use Cornerstone services and qualify for Lifeline.

Phones can be dropped off at the Cornerstone Community Kitchen office during normal hours of operation. Thanks for your support!

Such https://www.docsoutsidethebox.us a heartwarming update. It’s inspiring to see how the Food Cupboard has grown over eight years while staying rooted in community care. Stories like this echo some thoughtful nonprofit reflections I’ve seen on docsoutsidethebox as well.

This is a great initiative that encourages recycling while giving old devices a meaningful purpose. Programs like this not only help the environment but also teach kids the value of responsibility and community contribution. As a parent, I appreciate efforts that combine awareness with action. I’ve noticed similar values while learning about the Best Elementary Schools in Wisconsin, where sustainability, participation, and real-world learning are encouraged. Small steps like these truly make a big impact.

Such a meaningful https://www.ninexpower.com initiative. The post explains the impact clearly and makes it easy to understand how small actions can make a difference. I recently saw a similar community-driven effort highlighted on a ninexpower-based review blog (ninexpower), and it’s inspiring to see causes like this shared.

A meaningful and https://www.cygnetliving.com impactful call to action. I appreciate how clearly the need is explained and how easy it feels to get involved. I saw a community support post on cygnetliving that shared a similar message.
