This is the Season of Gratitude. Gratitude is feeling thankful for the good things in our life.
Gratitude in the bible means “extending favor towards” or giving grace and kindness as a response. It is an approach to doing something. Gratitude is a positive response to experiencing God's goodness and grace. Once we realize God is working in our life, we show gratefulness in how we live.
Gratitude is a way to appreciate what we have instead of always reaching for something else. Gratitude helps us focus on what we have instead of what we lack.
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18.
So, for this newsletter I would like to give thanks to God first and foremost, and to all God has provided the Cornerstone Community Kitchen through His many ways. Thank you for the office staff who greet, with a kind heart, everyone who enters our building. Thank you for the cooks who heartfully and lovingly prepare meals to feed anyone who walks in. Thank you to the wonderful volunteers who continue to show up consistently to help us with our mission to feed those in need, and lastly thank you to all who donate time, money or items to our kitchen. We could not possibly accomplish all we do without you.
During this Holiday season of Gratitude, please know we are so extremely grateful for all the help we receive in doing God's work…and we will continue to focus on God's will for us with a heart of Gratitude and Thankfulness.
