Cornerstone's Food Cupboard saw an increase of 41 new families in January. This is a clear indication of the economic struggles many families are facing with increases in grocery costs, heating costs and much more.
With the cooperated efforts from Connecticut Foodshare, Midwest Food Bank and local grocery stores, Cornerstone is helping to help hundreds of families in the area. However, we sometimes find our shelves not full enough.
Our Food Cupboard is currently in need of the following donations:
Instant Potato Pouches
Rice Side Dish Pouches
Canned Pasta
If you are able to donate any of these items, please bring them to the Food Cupboard Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturdays between 9am and 12pm. You may also bring your Food Cupboard donations to the Community Kitchen at 15 Prospect Street any day of the week from 9am - 5pm.
